Year 9 Students Participate in Climate Change Workshop

Our Year 9 students recently took part in a thought-provoking Climate Change workshop as part of their ongoing science studies. The workshop, led by an expert guest speaker, provided students with a hands-on, interactive experience aimed at deepening their understanding of the climate crisis.
During the session, students engaged in a dynamic game focused on the carbon cycle, helping them grasp how carbon moves through our environment and its role in climate change. They also explored the positive impact of reforestation efforts around the world and learnt about innovative carbon-saving technologies that are helping reduce human impact on the planet.
The workshop sparked great interest amongst the students. One participant, Dylan, was particularly excited to engage in the carbon cycle game, showing a strong enthusiasm for the topic. Another student, Bella, found the session so intriguing that she asked numerous insightful questions, contributing to a lively and educational discussion.
This workshop was a valuable opportunity for our students to explore the pressing issue of climate change and gain a deeper understanding of the efforts being made to protect our planet for future generations.
