Year 12 Students Earn Emergency First Aid Certification

Our Year 12 students recently completed their Emergency First Aid at Work certification, marking a significant achievement in their academic journey. This accomplishment not only equips them with crucial life-saving skills but also prepares them for a range of future opportunities, whether in further education, apprenticeships, or professional environments.
The students took part in an immersive, one-day training session, which resulted in them earning the FAA Level 3 Award in Emergency First Aid at Work. This qualification, which is valid for three years, enhances their university applications and serves as a valuable asset for those considering apprenticeships or entering the workforce.
As a specialist medical school, this certificate holds significant importance. It provides our students with the essential knowledge and skills needed to approach their future careers with both expertise and compassion.
Throughout the course, students learnt critical first aid techniques, including how to assess a patient, perform CPR, use an AED (Automated External Defibrillator), and handle a variety of emergencies. They were trained to manage situations such as choking, controlling bleeding, administering first aid for burns and seizures, and treating shock and minor injuries.
It was inspiring to see the level of enthusiasm and engagement demonstrated by our students. They fully immersed themselves in practical exercises and group activities, showcasing their dedication to acquiring these essential life-saving skills.
With their new qualifications, our Year 12 students are well-prepared to make a positive difference in their communities. We look forward to seeing the impact they will have in the future.
