Year 9 Students Excel in Bronze Duke of Edinburgh Practice Walk

A group of 44 eager Year 9 students recently set out on a thrilling 7km practice walk around the beautiful Burrator Reservoir as part of their Bronze Duke of Edinburgh (DofE) Award journey. This adventure tested their resilience, determination, and enthusiasm for the outdoors.
The walk aimed to help students develop vital navigation, teamwork, and problem-solving skills—key components of the DofE Award. Throughout the journey, they showed impressive maturity and excellent behaviour, tackling the hike with great energy and focus.
Having successfully completed this practice walk, our Year 9 students are now ready to take on their next challenge. Well done, everyone!
