Introducing Our New House System: Seacole and Nightingale!

We’re excited to launch our brand-new House System, with two new houses: Seacole and Nightingale! This initiative is all about building a stronger school community and adding a spark of friendly competition.

Under the new system, every student and staff member will be part of either Seacole or Nightingale. Together in tutor groups, students and staff will work to earn House Points, which can lead to exciting rewards. Points are tallied every two weeks, with totals building up each term. The house with the highest points will be celebrated with special prizes and recognition.

There are many ways students can earn points: maintaining 100% weekly attendance, completing Sparx homework, and participating in clubs and school activities. This encourages everyone to get involved and show school spirit, with both houses competing to come out on top!

We’re also proud to introduce our new House Captains: Jack and Rhianna for Nightingale, and Joshua and Nicole for Seacole. Each captain delivered an impressive speech that highlighted their leadership skills and dedication to their house. Beyond strong speeches, these captains have shown they can bring their housemates together, inspire others, and represent the values of our school.

A special thank you to Mrs. Harvey, our House Coordinator, who has worked closely with our new house captains to create unique logos and choose meaningful charities for each house to support this year.

An important aspect of our House System is the focus on supporting meaningful causes. Recently, we held a House Charity Vote where students selected a charity for their house to support this year. The choices included a variety of local organisations that help children, families, and our community.

We look forward to seeing the energy and teamwork that Seacole and Nightingale will bring throughout the year. We’re also excited to watch our House Captains grow into their roles and make a positive impact on their houses, school, and community.
