Six Form Options

A Level

A more traditional A-Level route, in preparation for university courses such as medicine, dentistry, pharmacy, speech therapy, radiotherapy and health sciences.

  • Biology
  • Chemistry
  • Physics
  • Psychology
  • Philosophy and Ethics
  • Maths and Core Maths
  • English Literature and the Extended Project Qualification

You may follow or you may take more vocational courses relevant to their field of study.

You might choose to study a core subject of A-Level Maths or Core Maths. If you have not gained GCSE English at new grade 4 or above you will study English and or Maths at GCSE or Functional Skills Level 1 or Level 2.

Within your course you can also obtain additional vocationally relevant certification in other courses, such as; First Aid At Work, Patient Customer Service Training Course, Moving and Handling of People Training Course, Counselling Certificates Level 2, CACHE certificates, Learning Mentor Qualification and Sport Coaching Qualifications.

Health Science

A vocational route based mainly on regularly assessed coursework this pathway prepares students for university courses (and apprenticeships) in all types of nursing, midwifery and paramedic study (with A level biology).

Level 3 (A level equivalent) Btec Extended Diploma in Health and Social Care and Social Care.

  • Btec Diploma in Science
  • Btec Diploma Sport

You may follow or you may take more vocational courses relevant to their field of study.
